ACT is giving “Little’s” a reason to smile as they walk through their school doors on the first day of school. ACT recently partnered with BBBS of Johnson County to bring school supplies to over 52 area children and families in need.
From crayons, folders and paper to Justin Bieber backpacks and Hello Kitty swag, ACT team members conducted a school supplies drive tailored to the needs and wishes of each child. ACT team members also wrote letters of encouragement to wish students well on their first day back to school.
On August 2nd, BBBS staff and “Bigs” were invited to the ACT campus for the “Backpack Handoff”. We almost didn’t have enough room in our 4 vehicles to bring the backpacks back to the office. ACT has been a long-standing partner of BBBS and we truly appreciate their thoughtfulness in coordinating such an awesome effort to meet the needs of children and families in Johnson County.
