Match Makers
Match Makers are donors whose ongoing monthly donations help us create life-changing relationships by “matching” children (Littles) and mentors (Bigs). Not everyone has the time to be a Big Brother or a Big Sister, but anyone can be a Match Maker! When you become a Match Maker, you join a community of people who want all youth reach their full potential.
What do Match Makers do?
When Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County makes a match, we pair one Little and one Big together. This is called a “match”. A match is a relationship built on trust and gives Littles a future of unlimited opportunities. By becoming a Match Maker, your donation contributes to friendship, support, and happiness for each Match.
How does is work?
Select an amount of your choice and preferred payment method. As a Match Maker, you’ll receive monthly updates featuring match stories, program statistics, a look into the match process, and the impact your generosity is making right here in Johnson County.
Why should I become a Match Maker?
Monthly giving is like mentoring. It’s ongoing support that creates predictable revenue to support matches year-round. It helps build long-term outcomes and is an ongoing relationship. Average match at BBBS is 3 years and average monthly giving length is 3.5 years.

$10: Ensures Littles will have snacks at Match Events.
$25: Provides supplies for monthly Match Events.
$50: Helps covers the cost of background checks, ensuring every child is matched with a safe, caring mentor.
$100: Supports the in-depth interview and matching process that lays the foundation for a successful mentoring relationship.
$250: Sustains a mentoring match by providing ongoing professional support, resources, and guidance throughout the year.
